Explored the correlation between Trihalomethane’sin public drinking water and head and neck cancer prevalence in Tampa Bay

During my time as an undergrad at The University of Tampa I was involved in an independent research study under the fantastic mentorship of Dr. Kimberly Dobrinski. My research colleague, Aaron Joseph, and I explored the correlation between Trihalomethane’s (a chemical by product formed during the water disinfection process) in public drinking water and head and neck cancer prevalence in Tampa Bay.

My interest in head and neck cancer following this research study led me to the world of communication disorders and rehabilitation. I completed my graduate degree in Speech-Language Pathology and now work as a pediatric speech language pathologist with children ages 2-18 years old.
