I’m Shivani Desai and I am currently a third year medical student at Western University of Health Sciences, College of Osteopathic Medicine of the Pacific in California. I admire the D.O. philosophy which states that our health is comprised of body, mind, and spirit. I’m learning to incorporate what I learn about the structure and function of the human body into my daily life as a medical student. While I am working towards becoming a physician, I’m happy to help and mentor any other pre-med students interested in this path.

I attended the University of Tampa where I worked on research under the incredible guidance of Dr. Dobrinski. I am so grateful for her, not only because of the many research projects, abstracts, and posters we worked on but because she believed in me from the very start. Thank you Dr. D! ❤️
