Bryon Ward

Current Position:

3rd-year medical student at Morehouse School of Medicine

My name is Byron Ward Jr., I am a University of Tampa, and Dr. Dobrinski Lab alumni from the Class of 2020. I am currently a 3rd-year medical student at Morehouse School of Medicine in Atlanta, GA. I spent the summer as part of an immersive orthopedic surgery program. This program allowed me to scrub into many operations, conduct a clinical-based research project, and write review articles; that will soon be out for publication.

While conducting this research, I couldn’t help but think back to my introduction to research processes with Dr. Dobrinski in our lab. Thinking back allows me to realize how lucky I was to be part of our lab and how Dr. Dobrinski’s decision to include me, changed the course of my future career as a physician-scientist.
