The Investigation of Gene Transcription Modifications Associated with Obesity in Zebrafish
My name is Briana Alston and I received a degree in biology on the pre-medicine track, aspiring to become a pediatric surgeon. I have been a member of the research group since January 2022.
My project is “The Investigation of Gene Transcription Modifications Associated with Obesity in Zebrafish”: This study used the model organism zebrafish to explore the contributions obesity may play in formation of disease, including the role of somatic copy number variations. RNA Seq was carried out on fish livers between obese and normal fish and transcriptional differences were evaluated using the R software Program.
